QILEE Group has unveiled the QL-SWTP 900K Series Integrated Surface Water Treatment System, a comprehensive facility capable of transforming heavily turbid and chemically diverse river or lake water directly into high-grade industrial process water or potable municipal supplies.

With an overall treatment capacity reaching 900,000 cubic meters daily, the QL-SWTP 900K integrates pre-treatment, gravity clarification, and advanced nanofiltration (NF) within a single, automated framework. This system is built to support large-scale municipal drinking water initiatives, water treatment operations for massive industrial parks, river basin quality improvement projects, and pre-treatment stages for brackish water desalination in saline-alkali regions.

Technical Architecture and Performance

The QL-SWTP 900K functions through a continuous, fully automated process that relies on three separate treatment zones:

  • Zone 1: Pre-treatment: This first stage employs dual-powered rotary drum screens to provide filtration precision between 20 and 100 micrometers. An integrated, intelligent PAC/PAM proportional dosing system supports this zone to enhance chemical usage efficiency.
  • Zone 2: Gravity Clarification: Designed for minimal operational expenses, this zone uses a zero-energy gravity-flow method that consumes no electricity. Each module handles 50,000 cubic meters per hour, eliminating over 95 percent of suspended solids (SS) via natural settling.
  • Zone 3B: Advanced Treatment: The concluding stage incorporates a large-scale nanofiltration (NF) skid capable of processing 300,000 cubic meters per day per unit. This step ensures robust removal of total organic carbon (TOC), color, and multivalent ions. The NF technology delivers consistent, high-quality water output despite seasonal variations in raw river water characteristics.

Production, Deployment, and Automation

During the research and design phase, QILEE engineers refine the system’s sedimentation units using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. All skid-mounted parts are standardized, fabricated, and coated with specialized anti-corrosion finishes at QILEE’s digital factory. Prior to shipment, each unit undergoes comprehensive Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to guarantee immediate plug-and-play readiness at the deployment site.

The modular, skid-mounted construction enables swift installation, cutting on-site setup time by roughly 60 percent relative to conventional concrete water treatment facilities. For operations, the system supports fully automated PLC/DCS remote control and allows operators to track water quality in real time via mobile devices.

Target Markets and Field Validation

The QL-SWTP 900K Series is primarily aimed at municipal water utility organizations, EPC contractors, large-scale steel and chemical production facilities, and environmental engineering firms. Key geographic targets include major coastal industrial zones, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East—especially significant EPC infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Field viability has already been confirmed by the system’s automated, energy-efficient design. A project manager overseeing an overseas municipal water supply initiative remarked: “QILEE’s gravity system has delivered outstanding performance in remote areas. It not only generated substantial electricity savings but also addressed the shortage of local maintenance staff through its fully automated design.”
